Thank you to everyone for providing your input for the Top Five of Sew Colette. I am delighted to say the Queen of Twists, Rochelle of Lucky Lucille Co is our winner for the Meringue!
There is so much to say about Rochelle's fantastic Meringue skirt. The combination of red and aqua really pops and flatters Rochelle to the nth degree (and those polka dot shoes?! Gah!). As we know from other projects, Rochelle dislikes facings and has thought of many clever ways to turn them into a design feature. For her Meringue, She simply showcased the scallops facing in a contrasting colour - brilliant!
Erin and I love Rochelle's attention to detail and our first sew-along project is no exception. I love the little rose button and the addition of a waistband. Well done, Rochelle!
Now, Pastille was a special dress. It marked our foray into really perfecting fit and precision. Daisy 4-0 blew us away with her luscious green Pastille. Catherine has the fit on this garment absolutely perfected - Joan Holloway Harris would be completely envious! I love the rich green of her Pastille, which flatters her lovely skin tone perfectly. And those pleats?! Crisp, even, and just gorgeous!
Throughout the sew-along, Daisy has delivered immaculately fitted garments with her own classic twist. She is one elegant lady and we are delighted that she is a Top Five Sew-Colette winner. Congratulations!
